What you send us
When you use the quote form, call, text or email 503 Chimney Sweep, we collect only what you choose to send.
That is your name, phone number, email address if you write to us, your neighborhood, city or ZIP code, photos of your fireplace, stove or chimney, and a description of what it is doing. If you book a visit, we also collect the service address and keep a record of the work, the inspection photos and the payment.
What the website collects on its own
This site sets no cookies and loads no advertising or analytics scripts.
Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.
How we use your information
We use it to answer your request, work out and quote the service, schedule and complete the visit, contact you about the job, and keep the business and tax records the law requires. Photos you send us are used only to quote and plan your visit. Photos we take of your flue during a sweep or inspection are shared with you and kept with the job record.
Text messages
If you check the consent box on the quote form, or text us first, we may text you about that request: questions about the fireplace or chimney, the quote, scheduling and arrival updates. Message frequency depends on your request, and message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of booking a visit; you can always ask us to call or email instead.
Who else sees it
Your information is shared only with the services that help us run the business, such as our phone and texting provider, email provider, web host and bookkeeping software, and only as much as each one needs to do its job. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Your information is never sold or rented, and it is never handed to anyone else for their marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and job records only as long as we need them to serve you and to meet tax and record-keeping rules, and then we delete them. Inspection reports are kept as part of the job record so you can ask for a copy later.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@503chimneysweep.com or calling (503) 906-2896. We will confirm the request and tell you what we did about it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards for the information we keep, such as password-protected accounts with the providers above. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending anything sensitive, such as payment card numbers, through the form or by text.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on their homes and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
